After our gin and vodka experience in Bristol, Georgia and I decided some more mummy and daughter camping bonding was what was needed so we headed off to ….
10th April – who knows if we have everything we need to camp – we have reverted to my pre-camping days motto – toothbrush – check – clean knickers – check – credit card – check – we’re good to go
A camp with a difference methinks – we started with a gentle potter round the shop, restaurants and bars of Ledbury – all very civilised.
We headed to our chosen campsite – the Blackmore camping and Caravan site at Hanley Swan – we had gone for minimum set up – popped roof- hooked up – threw down blanket – popped up a couple of chairs and a table – poured gin – sorted
We snoozed in the warm sun – yep actual warm sun – and then headed for the Swan Inn at Hanley Swan – one of my favourite places to eat – despite a couple of tricky experiences there recently!! Again the food was fab .
Our night passed peacefully and we were up, if not exactly with the larks, certainly by 11 – this day was our walk the malverns day – which we did and had a great time – Georgia decided that a series of yoga poses on top of summits would sell well – even tho we were not quite sure who to?
Now clearly every walk deserves a foodie reward, so we randomly stopped for afternoon tea at ‘the cottage in the wood’ in our walking kit, in Neville, with Millie – didn’t realise it was quite so posh – £480 dinner B and B for 2 – anyways our afternoon tea was lovely and a steal for £20 each! – Would actually go again – but may be try to be a bit cleaner next time.
